OFFICIAL VISITS

An official visit is any visit to a college campus by your and your parents paid for by the college. The college may pay the following expenses on an official visit:

  • Your transportation to and from the college;
  • Room and meals (three per day) while you are visiting the college; and
  • Reasonable entertainment expenses, including a maximum of three complimentary admissions to a home athletics contest.

    You must provide the college with a copy of your high school transcript and an SAT, ACT or PLAN score before you are permitted to receive an official visit.

    A prospective student-athlete is able to take a maximum of 5 expenses paid official visits to NCAA member institutions. A prospect may take only one expense-paid official visit to any single institution regardless of the number of sports in which the prospective student-athlete is involved. A prospective student-athlete may not be provided with an expense-paid official visit earlier than the opening day of classes of the prospective student-athlete's senior year in high school.
