The University of California, Irvine is a NCAA Division I member institution which proudly competes in the Big West Conference. As a NCAA member institution, the UCI athletic department is governed by NCAA rules and regulations, which are continuously evolving. The role of the Compliance Office at UCI is to assist a wide variety of individuals such as prospective student-athletes, UCI athletics representatives (boosters), enrolled student-athletes, and the UCI coaching and administrative staff, in educating, understanding, and interpreting such rules.
