IRVINE, Calif. --- UC Irvine senior Dayne Comrie finished third in the 200 meters as the Anteaters turned in more strong performances Sunday in the Asics/Steve Scott Invitational at Anteater Stadium.

Comrie's time of 21.36 was the 10th-best in UCI history and just .01 off the NCAA regional-qualifying mark of 21.35.

Tim Murphy placed fourth in the 800 meters in 1:52.15 and Napoleon Greene was fifth in the 400-meter hurdles (52.69). Matt Lahti's eighth-place showing of 153-1 in the discus throw was a career-best by nearly a foot.

For the UCI women's team, Amber Sangster placed fourth in the discus throw with a career-best mark of 154-1, which is No. 3 in school history. Madeline Leduc finished 10th in the triple jump at 39-3 ¼ for the No. 4 mark in the Anteater record book.

Samantha Costantini finished fifth in the 1500 meters with a time of 4:32.42.

The Big West Conference Multi Championships are Friday and Saturday at Cal State Northridge with UCI's Eric Nyberg, Kyle Peterson and Trent Richert competing in the decathlon.
