Glenn Swanson Position: Pitcher

2006: Tossed UC Irvine's first no-hitter in 32 years...struck out a career-high 14 batters, including eight batters looking...walked just one batter in the fourth inning...named Collegiate Baseball "Louisville Slugger" National Player of the Week and Big West Pitcher of the Week and was honored by CollegeBaseballInsider.com, the College Baseball Foundation...was also named a Breitbard Star of the Month by the San Diego Hall of Champions Sports Museum for his effort...surpassed a second 32 year-old mark when he recorded 298 strikeouts to become UCI's all-time leader, passing Gary Wheelock...posted a winning season in three of his four years and accumulated 25 wins to tie for fourth in the record books...pitched in four of UCI's six shutouts this season...received the Best Teammate Award, which was then renamed after the southpaw...finished in the Top 10 of several of the program career records...was fifth in appearances (55), second in games started (57), fourth in innings pitched (362.2) and wins (25).

2005: Utilized redshirt year.

2004: 6-4 on the season...had a 5.51 ERA...gave up 51 earned runs on 90 hits in 83.1 innings...second on the team with 79 strikeouts...started 15 games...17 appearances...recorded a career-high 11 strikeouts against Santa Barbara...had two seven-innings stints for his longest outings of the season...was 4-3 for the Chatham A's...recorded a 2.81 ERA...started in eight games...allowed 16 earned runs on 36 hits in 51.1 innings pitched...struck out 50.

2003: Was 2-9 on the year...second on the team with 68 strikeouts...fanned 10 batters against Cal Poly for a career high...recorded two complete games...gave up 37 earned runs on 98 hits in 90.2 innings for a 3.67 ERA...finished seventh in the Big West in ERA...starting pitcher of the Mid-Summer Classic All-Star Game...went 5-1 for the Chatham A's...2.14 ERA...made nine starts...second on the club with 54 strikeouts...allowed 13 earned runs in 54.2 innings.

2002: Had an impressive rookie outing...earned Baseball America "Louisville Slugger" Freshman All-American honors...finished the year with an 8-5 record and a 4.44 ERA...one of three Anteaters to record 80 or more strikeouts...season-high nine strikeouts against UCLA...had the team only complete game, a two-run, one-hit performance vs. Pepperdine to earn his second win of the season...also gave the team quality relief against Pacific and Long Beach State holding both teams hitless...earned Big West Pitcher of the Week honors after shutting out UNLV and Pacific...Baseball America Midseason All-America honoree.

Morse High School: Was the 2000-2001 Coca-Cola Player of the Year...tabbed Eastern League Player of the Year...named to Baseball Resource Class of 2001 All-Southern California second team...awarded the 1999 Silver Slugger award...won first team all-league, all-county honors...second team All-CIF...San Diego Union Tribune second team choice...his school record 125 strikeouts also was the highest in the county...team MVP...ended his senior year with a 2.06 ERA, 8-4 record, while batting .425 with 31 hits...played for the San Diego Shockers, winning the USA Baseball Federation County championship...also lettered in football.
