Irvine Men Raced Against Long Beach State, UC San Diego, and the University of San Diego

The Irvine men raced in Long Beach on Saturday March 8th against UC San Diego, University of San Diego and Long Beach State.

Long Beach, Calif.- The Irvine men raced in Long Beach on Saturday March 8th against UC San Diego, University of San Diego and Long Beach State. This was a difficult regatta for the Anteaters competing against two of the top schools in their association. The varsity 8 closed the gap between themselves and UC San Diego by 12 seconds, finishing the race only 8 seconds behind UCSD in their heat. The novice 8 beat Long Beach State to place 2nd in the petite final by 1 second. The novices were the only crew to significantly beat their heat time in their final, improving technically on that second race. The 2nd varsity 8 raced for the first time this season coming in second against UCSD.
