Irvine Raced At San Diego Crew ClassicApril 14, 2008
San Diego, Calif.--The Irvine men traveled 3 boats to the 35th Annual San Diego Crew Classic held in Crown Point Shores, San Diego on April 5th and 6th. This regatta is the largest regatta held in Southern California with over 3,500 athletes from more than 100 clubs, universities and colleges. The novice men placed 5th in their heat of 7 boats just missing the petite final by 3 seconds over the 4th place UCLA. In another close race the JV boat made it to the petite final where they placed 6th by 2 seconds. The varsity men placed 5th in their heat and then went on to the 3rd final. In the final the varsity men had a great race missing first place by .47 seconds to Sacramento State. |
