Seventh-ranked UC Santa Barbara built a 6-2 lead after three quarters and had to withstand a fourth-quarter rally by No. 12 St. Francis to claim ninth place. Mark Knudtsen's extra-man score with 1:23 left in the third provided the Gauchos the four-goal lead, but the Terriers received two fourth-quarter goals from Filip Kisdobranski and one from Dusan Milanovic.
