UC Irvine Shoots A 301 On Day Two Of The NCAA West RegionalMay 9, 2008
The Anteaters shaved one stroke off their first round total with the 301 and finished the second round with a 36-hole score of 603 (302-301) which is 17th overall. USC remains the leader with a five-under 571. Today, UCI was led by senior Kim Lorenzana and sophomore Mariko Makabe who each shot a two-over 74. Makabe has a two-round total of 150 (76-74) and is 48th, while Loranzana has carded a 152 (78-74) and is 65th. Senior Selanee Henderson leads the Anteaters overall with a score of 146 (71-75) which is 19th. Freshman Hillary Packard has a 157 total (79-78) and is in 90th place and sophomore Patty Chawalitmetha has a score of 160 (77-83) and is 98th. The final 18 holes will be played Saturday with the top eight teams advancing to the NCAA Championships.
