NO. 11 UC DAVIS UPSETS NO. 6 SAN DIEGO STATE 8-7

IRVINE, Calif. - The No. 11 UC Davis Aggies defeated the No. 6 San Diego State Aztecs 8-7 in the opening round of the UC Irvine Women's Water Polo Invitational Saturday at Anteater Aquatics Complex.

The Aztecs scored two goals in the fourth quarter to tie the match at 7-7. Christi Raycroft then scored the game-winning goal for UCD with 1:23 left.

The Aggies will play USC in the quarterfinals at 4:30 p.m. while San Diego State will move into the consolation bracket and will play Michigan at 5:45 Saturday.
